Tottenham manager Juande Ramos has decided to leave Younes Kaboul out of his squad for tonight's UEFA Cup tie at Anderlecht.

France U21 international defender has been linked with a loan move away in January after failing to impress Ramos since the Spaniard's arrival at White Hart Lane.

Ramos said: "Kaboul has not travelled. You can have 18 people in your squad, so logically you make your selections on who is the most suitable for each game. When you have a squad of 22 or so players at the club, it means you can make changes, get players fit, let others rest.

"You always have to try to get the best out of your squad and that can't always be with the same players."
