JVC Cuijk midfielder Ryan Bouwmeester admits he regrets turning down Arsenal.

At 15, Bouwmeester was made an offer by Arsenal while with Vitesse, but he turned it down believing his development would be better served in the Dutch system.

"The guys I play with now say I'm mad that I said no to Arsenal," he told AD.

The 24 year-old admits he regrets his decision and has told Dutch youngsters if a Premier League offer is made - grab it!

"And even if you do not make it at a club like Chelsea or Arsenal, there are always some clubs in the Netherlands who want to work with you," he added.
