Juventus youngster Pereyra puts hand up for Pirlo role

Juventus midfielder Roberto Pereyra is happy in a central role.

Pereyra has filled in admirably for Andrea Pirlo.

"I didn't expect to play so much," he told Sky Sports. "But as I always said, I'm at the service of the Coach and I always train at 100 per cent to make sure I'm ready whenever something goes wrong.

"And the other day [against Borussia] was a case in which something did go wrong.

"I think we lost a great player [when Andrea Pirlo limped off]. Things were easier when he was in the middle of the pitch.

"But there are others behind him who can replace him. I played in that role when I was at Udinese and I found it to my liking.

"That being said, where I position myself comes down to the Coach. I'm always ready to play like he wants me to."
