Juventus intend to make an opening £20 million offer this week for Arsenal striker Robin van Persie.
The Daily Star Sunday says the Turin side will look to offer straight cash - but may also be willing to throw long-term Arsenal target Felipe Melo into the deal if needed.
Van Persie, 27, has spent large chunks of the last three seasons out with injuries - and boss Arsene Wenger has had to be thankful for the start shown by summer signing Marouane Chamakh this season.
The Dutchman himself may also be tempted by a new challenge, especially if the north London club does not manage to end its silverware drought this season.
