Juventus midfielder Andrea Pirlo is happy to have influenced Barcelona star Lionel Messi.

Messi confessed to being inspired by him in a free kick for Argentina.

"I was very pleased to hear that Messi noticed something like that," smiled Pirlo from the Italy training camp.

"The fact it was Messi just made me even happier."
