Juventus defender Fabio Cannavaro admits he chose to join Al-Ahli after becoming fed-up with the controversy inside Italian football.
Cannavaro surprised many by opting for the Dubai club amid talk linking him with AC Milan and Napoli.
He said: “There will be time to discuss it further, but since returning to Italy from Real Madrid, I found many ugly aspects that I was not expecting.
“I am referring to the infrastructure, but also fans throwing rocks at their own team bus. We’ve got to wake up and make changes.”
