Juventus are encouraging Sunderland to bid for Paolo de Ceglie.
Tuttosport says Juve have informed De Ceglie he can leave for Wearside this week and have already agreed a minor payoff to smooth the transfer.
However, Sunderland are dragging their feet in making a concrete cash bid for De Ceglie, which is baffling Juve directors given the enthusiasm shown by Paolo di Canio's club just a week ago.
