Aston Villa defender Olof Mellberg is unsure of his future beyond the end of this season.

Juventus are planning a move for the Swede, who is off contract at the end of this season, and he told Expressen: "It would be good to finish high on the table and qualify for Europe.

"If this goal is achieved, then I might stay here."

Juve hope to secure Mellberg to a pre-contract agreement at the turn of the year.
