Italian giants Juventus will meet MLS club New York Red Bull in an international friendly in May. The clubs will meet at the Red Bull Arena on Sunday May 23 in a clash that is sure to attract a sell-out at the new stadium.
"Since opening Red Bull Arena, we have been committed to bringing in elite clubs from around the world to play in what we consider to be the best soccer-specific stadium in North America," said Red Bull general manager Erik Stover.
"With its storied history and multiple championships, Juventus certainly fits in with this vision. They are a prestigious club with a tremendous following around the world and we are excited to host them at our brand new home."
Red Bulls fans and Juventus supporters in New York will be hoping that the Turin-based club will bring with them their stars Alessandro Del Piero, David Trezeguet, Amauri, Diego, Fabio Cannavaro and Gianluigi Buffon to make the event that much more special.
