Juventus are using their fringe players to secure deals for two of Serie A's brightest young stars.

Tuttosport says during negotiations with Napoli over the permanent sale of Marcelo Zalayeta, Juve have suggested writing off the Uruguayan's £7 million fee in exchange for Slovakia midfielder Marek Hamsik.

Juve have also opened talks with Genoa over their primavera starlet Silvano Ray Garibaldi. The Italy U19 captain could move to Juve in a swap for midfielder Matteo Paro.
