Juventus have announced they've suspended Martin Caceres from the first team.

The Uruguay defender was involved in a car accident on Tuesday morning while under the influence of alcohol.

Juve announced in a statement: "The behavior of Martin Caceres on the night of September 28 to 29 represents a serious violation of his commitments to Juventus, and harms the image of our club.

"Juventus therefore will apply disciplinary measures to the player inflicting a fine and temporarily excluding him from the first team."
