Juventus striker Fabio Quagliarella faces six months out after undergoing knee surgery yesterday.

Quagliarella had an operation at the Villa Stuart clinic in Rome to reconstruct the anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee.

The player "will stay in the clinic for three to four days, then return to Turin to begin the rehabilitation programme.

"The striker should be back on the field in five to six months."
