Juventus striker Alessandro Matri has backed their pursuit of Manchester City striker Carlos Tevez.

City manager Roberto Mancini admits Tevez has told him he wants a move to Italy this summer.

Asked about the prospect, Matri said: "I'd be a fool to say no. The more good players there are, the better for the team, because if you want to reach certain goals we need a whole squad, not just 11 players.

"And so the more you get the better it is."
