Juventus striker Fernando Llorente admits he twice could've signed for Real Madrid.
Llorente is likely to be on the bench for tonight's Champions League tie.
"There was real interest, but something else came up in the end. They tried to sign me a couple of times, but Athletic wouldn't let me leave so it wasn't possible. If you leave Athletic Bilbao it's got to be through a contract clause - there's no other way. Real is one of the best teams in the world, but by the time I was free to negotiate, Juve came on the scene and Real had disappeared."
