Vincenzo Iaquinta has backed the decision to play on yesterday as Juventus drew at Parma 2-2.

Several other games around Italy were called off following the shooting death of a Lazio fan, but Iaquinta said after scoring: "I think it was right to play.

"It's important not to think about the bad things in these situations and simply to play."

He added: "We should have won today. I'm happy with my goal, but we could have snatched the three points."
