Juventus striker Gonzalo Higuain can understand the anger of Napoli fans over his summer move.
Higuain left for Juve this summer he activated his €90m release clause.
“I left Real Madrid because I needed to play consistently and so I signed for Napoli," Pipita told Elite Sport.
“Napoli was a fantastic step in my career. I really enjoyed being with the team, the city and the fans. It gave me goosebumps to think Diego Maradona had played there and people were comparing me to him."
Does he have a response after President Aurelio De Laurentiis called him a traitor?
“I have nothing more to add. I already said at the time what I thought and there's no point going back on that. I am now facing my new step in Turin and that's good.
“The Napoli fans were always good to me and I understand they are angry, but it was a personal decision. I send a big salute to all the Napoli supporters."
