Juventus striker Amauri is a step away from becoming an Italian citizen.

The Brazilian has signed documents to confirm his new citizenship and just needs to take part in a swearing in ceremony.

Amauri has hopes of playing for Italy at this year's World Cup and said: “I am still not saying anything. There is still one step to climb. We'll see what happens.”
