Juventus striker Amauri insists their Coppa Italia tie is still alive after Tuesday's 2-1 first-leg defeat to Lazio.

“We are disappointed because we played well for 60 minutes, but the tie is still totally open,” he said. “There's everything to play for in the return leg in Turin and now we must just focus on recharging our batteries.

“We have two huge games ahead against Torino and Chelsea and we still have a great chance to progress in the Champions League.”

The former Palermo star refused to enter into the spat between Jose Mourinho and Claudio Ranieri.

“I am the least suitable person to comment on the issue,” he said simply.
