Juventus striker Amauri is set to gain his Italian passport today.

The 29-year-old Brazilian has been trying to become an Italian citizen for nearly three years based on the fact that he has lived in the country for nearly a decade and that his wife is Italian.

Amauri will have only two available friendlies to prove himself to Italy coach Marcello Lippi before the World Cup.
