Juventus midfielder Antonio Nocerino is in hospital after being struck by a car last night.

Gazzetta.it says Nocerino was leaving the Mamma mia restaurant, where he had been celebrating a birthday with his fiancee, when he was struck by the car, with witnesses saying the windshield was shattered in the incident.

The young midfielder is said to have received minor injuries and is being kept under observation at the Umberto I hospital. Juve medical chief Riccardo Agricola is on hand and Nocerino will stay in hospital for the next 24 hours.
