Juventus signing Lucio insists he was forced to leave Inter Milan.

Lucio has angered Inter fans after a controversial signing ceremony with Juve.

"I say to all the Inter fans who follow me that I hope they understand my choice," he said.

"I have to leave Inter for internal issues. Life must continue, however, this is the life of a footballer.

"I'm still proud to have been part of a team that won the Champions League after 45 years, now I'll be at Juve and the same as how I wore the Inter shirt for three years.

"I'm happy with this new phase of my life."
