Aware that Ballack has not been registered by Chelsea for the Champions League, Juve are keen to bring the Germany international to Serie A in January.

Tuttosport says Juve are keen to setup a loan agreement, which would see Chelsea contribute to part of Ballack's wages, similar to previous arrangements with Inter Milan for Hernan Crespo and Juan Veron.

Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich could be keen, as he would avoid strengthening a Champions League rival by placing Ballack at Juve.
