Juventus rocked by Toni ankle injury

Juventus' Coppa victory over Catania has come at a cost.

New signing Luca Toni suffered an ankle injury in the 2-0 win.

The official Juventus website has confirmed Toni “sprained the medial section of his right knee.

“Tomorrow he will undergo further tests.”

Even if it is just a sprain, Toni is effectively out of this weekend’s Serie A match with Bari.

If the knee ligaments are affected by the injury, then he could be out for several weeks.
