Juventus are pushing to discuss a pre-contract with Liverpool fullback Glen Johnson. Juve, having been active in the Premier League transfer market over the past two years, are now chasing Johnson's signature in their hunt for a new right-back.
The England international, who missed Monday's Euros victory in Switzerland, comes off contract at the end of the season and is free to hold talks with foreign clubs from January 1.
Johnson has not heard from Liverpool about opening talks over a new deal and hasn't ruled out moving abroad in 2015.
Interestingly, Johnson has been taking Spanish language lessons and is a favourite of Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti.
