Juventus are ready to make an opening bid this week for Liverpool midfielder Emre Can.

With the German's contract now well inside its final year, Juve are convinced they can tempt Can away from Anfield this summer.

Tuttosport in Turin reports Juve will offer an initial €25 million for the midfielder, which will rise based on bonuses.

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has insisted talks over a new deal with Can are progressing positively, but as yet no breakthrough has been found.

For their part, Juve are under pressure to make a major signing after losing Leonardo Bonucci to AC Milan last week.
