Juventus president Giovanni Cobolli Gigli says the board is happy with the performance of coach Claudio Ranieri. He said: "He is our coach, has brought good results last year, we reached the Champions League. I believe that even this year, as we have done with the Champions League against Chelsea, shows that Juventus was close to beating a potential winner of the cup this year.

"We are second in the championship, we remain absolutely second, we still have some little hope of the title with the major game with Inter against us. I wonder what more we can ask of Ranieri and even ourselves, perhaps. I wonder why we should have any doubt about Ranieri in the coming years."
