Juventus president Giovanni Cobolli Gigli has revealed an agreement is close for Palermo ace Amauri.

After yesterday's defeat in Sicily, Cobolli Gigli said: "He's a player we like and one which we've looked at with interest. I think Jean-Claude Blanc, Alessio Secco and myself will meet soon with (Palermo president) Maurizio Zamparini.

"We will make an assessment of the situation, discuss sums with Zamparini and take a decision for the yes or no."
