Juventus president Agnelli shopping in Milan to boost squad
Submitted by tribalfootball.com on Thu, 02/24/2011 - 08:05
Juventus plan to strengthen their squad in the summer by raiding their big rivals in Milan.
Gazzetta dello Sport says Juve want veteran AC Milan midfielder Andrea Pirlo and Inter fullback Davide Santon, currently playing on-loan at Cesena.
Juve president Andrea Agnelli rates Santon highly and tried to sign him in January. But Inter's demand of Claudio Marchisio in exchange scuppered the deal.
A swap could still happen if Agnelli is willing to part with Momo Sissoko or Felipe Melo.
In Pirlo's case, the midfielder will make a decision on his future closer to June.

io per sempre forza juventus del neri qut ena marcello lippi conrad as roma
I agree with Mikkel. Italian league was once the best and the place all the ebst players would play...now it's down to 4th and 5th place. Even British players if world class would head to Italy, but not so anymore. EPL rules and i agree even the German league looks more attractive than the Italian one. Juve buying 30+ year old Pirlo and still have old guys like Del Piero etc.... Juve needs a fresh young team to build for the future...maybe buy and give the Italy under 21 best players and a few other young foreign guns a shot. Couldn't be worse than now for Juve!!!! I was a huge fan of Italian football in the 90s but not anymore, very average players play there now...not the elite :)
Italian football need to wake up. You're not living in the 90's. Build new stadiums like Germany you own. Let players above 33 retire. Have at least 5 fast players to cope with the pace of other leagues. Stop the DEFENSIVE football Inter played at home against Bayern last night. Let the tax system be the same as England and Spain and sell tv rights to other countries, so that people don't just watch EPL, La Liga and Bundesliga. Italy are about to lose 4th CL spot to Germany and are ignorants..
