Liverpool midfielder Javier Mascherano is the subject of a potential raid by Italian club Juventus.

The Argentina captain has been linked with Juve in the past and now the Old Lady are set to make another bid for him.

Reports suggest Juventus are prepared to offer Liverpool £23million for Mascherano as other clubs line up for his services.

Inter Milan and Barcelona are also both believed to be interested despite the 24-year old having a contract at Anfield until 2012 but it seems almost certain a January raid will be made.
