The Belgium international, 35, is off contract in June and expected to move on in the summer.
The Daily Mail says Juve are interested in tempting the former Manchester City centre-half to Turin for a Serie A swansong.
Van Buyten's personal demands would fit well inside Juve's wage ceiling.
