Barcelona defender Gabi Milito insists he never came close to joining Juventus in the summer.

Both Juve and Barca battled for Milito as he was preparing to leave Real Zaragoza at the end of last season, with reports of him travelling to Turin for a medical.

But when asked yesterday, he snapped to Tutto Mercato Web: "I don't know what you're talking about."
