Juventus have opened talks with Atletico Madrid defender Jose Gimenez.
Sportitalia says Gimenez's agent, Paco Casal, has met with Juve sports chief Fabio Paratici about a move to Turin this month.
The Uruguay international is viewed at Juve as a replacement for Leonardo Bonucci, who controversially left for AC Milan in July.
Gimenez has stated he's happy in Madrid, as he enjoys an impressive preseason.
However, a move to Juve could appeal, where Uruguayan legend Paolo Montero made his name.
