Juventus are locked in talks for Real Madrid winger Angel di Maria. Only yesterday, Real coach Carlo Ancelotti publicly declared how much he valued the unsettled Argentine.
However, El Confidencial says Di Maria's agent, Jorge Mendes, was in Turin last Thursday holding talks with Juve about a summer transfer.
Juve tabled Mendes a five-year, €30 million contract for Di Maria to consider and indicated a willingness to go as high as €45 million to convince Real to sell.
Di Maria is currently on €3 million-a-year at Real and for all the support of Ancelotti, the prospect of doubling his salary will prove too good to refuse for the midfielder.
