Juventus goalkeeper Gigi Buffon has declared AS Roma ace Francesco Totti "immortal".
There is a push for Totti to be recalled to the Italy squad.
"Totti is immortal as a player," he told a Press conference. "In this form he could make a different everywhere.
"He is proving to be a champion.
"We'll have to find the strength to honour this qualification process. To play badly for the national team - at any stage - doesn't please any one.
"The best thing for Italian football would be for us to win this game. We have to be a point of reference for the game in this country."
