Juventus are new favourites to sign Valencia fullback Joao Cancelo.

Marca says Cancelo is set to stay in Serie A having agreed a move to champions Juventus.

Valencia loaned the defender to Inter Milan last season and had given them a preferential purchase option to make the move permanent, but that ran out on May 30.

Since then, Juve have upped the ante and all that is left is for the two clubs to agree on a transfer fee and how it will be paid.

Mateu Alemany, Valencia's general director, is confident that the Old Lady can meet his 40 million euro asking price for Cancelo.
