Juventus have moved to secure Alex Sandro to a new contract after confirming an offer from Chelsea last week.
The Brazil left back is keen to move to Stamford Bridge after Chelsea promised to double his wages to around £150,000-a-week.
Juventus general manager Beppe Marotta admitted on Friday night that they had rejected a bid of £52m from Chelsea.
Chelsea are expected to go back with a higher offer in the next few days, but significantly Marotta said: "I don't know what he (Sandro) thinks about the interest. Players are masters of their own destinies. If Alex Sandro receives a salary offer which isn't logical for us, then…"
While Juventus haven't given up the fight to keep the 26-year-old and are prepared to give him a pay-rise to at least £100,000-a-week, they are considering potential replacements, including Monaco's Benjamin Mendy.
