Juventus are in the middle of new contract talks with Claudio Marchisio and Giorgio Chiellini. Gazzetta dello Sport says for defender Chiellini, an agreement is close to being struck over a five-year deal worth €4 million-a-season.
Italy midfielder Marchisio's case is proving more difficult, however.
The homegrown player is currently on €1 million-a-year and is seeking a pay-rise to €3 million-a-year. For their part, Juve refuse to budge from last month's offer of €2 million-a-year.
Manchester City and Inter Milan are monitoring developments closely.
