Juventus midfielder Vidal wells up discussing car crash

Juventus star Arturo Vidal broke down as he apologised for his dramatic car accident yesterday.

Vidal crashed his Ferrari in Santiago on the way back from a casino, but will not be excluded from the Copa America squad.

“I was at the casino, I had two drinks and then put at risk the lives of my wife and others," said an emotional Vidal.

“I apologise to my teammates, the staff, the people and to all of Chile. The accident was my fault.

“It was all my fault. I let everyone down. I will give my all to win the Copa America."

Vidal's driving licence has been suspended for 120 days pending an investigation and he will have to sign on at the Chilean consulate in Milan every month.
