Juventus midfielder Claudio Marchisio pleased with campaign so far

Juventus midfielder Claudio Marchisio is pleased with their season thus far.

Juve are unbeaten in Serie A this term, having won three and drawn three of their opening matches of the campaign.

“These first six games of the season confirm that the championship is very balanced,” said the in-form Marchisio.

“Now we have to take advantage of the home games against Genoa and Fiorentina as we’ll face away ties at Inter and Napoli at the end of the month.”

Much is being made of Juve’s advantage of being out of Europe, but the lack of games is seeing some big names excluded from action.

“We’re not happy being out of the Cups. Juve are used to playing in Europe, but our exclusion could be of benefit. With so many new players, we will improve by being able to train all week.

“No Cup games mean less games overall, but the Coach has to make his decisions and people will get a chance to play further down the line.”
