The midfielder scored the opening goal of the season in Friday's 12-1 win over a Val di Susa local outfit.
"I am honoured by his compliments and want to win as much as he did with Juventus," said Marchisio.
"I like to push forward, look for the goal and by playing in central midfield I do get that opportunity.
"If I am asked to, then I will have no problems covering that position."
Marchisio has moved all over the pitch during the past two years and could well be switched again with the arrival of Andrea Pirlo.
"The past two seasons have been negative, as we started out well enough only to collapse after Christmas. This year we have great players and a Coach who knows the club."
