Juventus are maintaining contact with Real Madrid defender Fabio Cannavaro about a return to Turin.

ControCampo says Juve's shaky defensive display in the opening two games of the new season has management preparing to bring in an experienced centre-half for the winter market in January.

Cannavaro remains Juve's No1 target and could be open to a return to the Bianconeri should he drop out of the first team running at Real in the coming months.
