Werder Bremen midfielder Diego was watched by Juventus scouts in action on the weekend.

Juve chief scout Renzo Castagnini had Pier Gallivanone run his eye over Diego as he struck in Werder's 3-1 victory over Cologne.

Pressed about Diego's future at the final whistle, Werder football chief Klaus Allofs declared: "Diego has a contract until 2011 and currently is not for sale."
