Juventus legend Alessandro del Piero insists Italian football is not in crisis.
Del Piero is currently playing in India for the Delhi Dynamos.
"Italy is still Italy. There's no place like home," the 39-year-old told RTL.
"In terms of football I can see an ongoing effort to improve the situation, to be able to be more in line with other European and international Leagues which are a step ahead at the moment.
"Italy has its contradictions in certain situations, but with our beauty, culture and everything we have, it is the most beautiful country in the world."
