Juventus legend Fabio Cannavaro has put his hand up for the Italy job.

The position is open following Cesare Prandelli's resignation.

"It would be an honour for me..." said Cannavaro.

"However, the President in charge of the Federation is also changing and I think it's very difficult.

"Of course I couldn't say no and I don't know their plans for the future. It is an important moment for Italian football, though."
