Juventus goalkeeper Gigi Buffon insists there's no need for panic within the Italy camp after their shock 1-0 Confederations Cup defeat to Egypt.
"We can beat Brazil on Sunday, then Spain in the Semi-Final and then Brazil again in the Final," Buffon said.
He then defended Italy, who have been criticised for the poor quality of their play.
"Italy has never been a country of champagne or technical football which brings easy victories like a 6-0. Our football is strong," Buffon explained. "Historically Italy are a combative team. When in good condition we are very difficult if not impossible to beat.
"It's a team that works hard against any opponent. It was even like this when we won the World Cup," Buffon admitted.
"Not even Arrigo Sacchi managed to make us play champagne football. We leave that to Brazil and Barcelona.
"We have never been the Harlem Globetrotters. I don't see why we are asked to be so even at home," he added.
