Juventus are in advanced talks to sign Udinese goalkeeper Alex Meret.

Eurosport says Juve aim to clinch a deal for Meret in January.

The youngster is currently playing on-loan with Spal and Juve will be happy for him to stay to the end of this season.

Juve management see Meret as a long-term successor for Gigi Buffon.

Negotiations are already close to a conclusion among all parties.
