Juventus have opened talks with representatives of Arsenal captain Robin van Persie.

With barely a year to run on his existing deal, Van Persie has suspended new contract talks with Arsenal until the summer.

Tuttosport says delegates from Juve met with the Dutchman's representatives this week.

Talks are understood to be informal and at a very early stage but Juventus are committed to improving their squad this summer and van Persie is the man they want.
