Juventus hero Angelo di Livio hailed their Champions League win at Manchester City as a "great show of character".

Juve kicked off their European campaign with a 2-1 win.

“Against Manchester [City], Juventus showed great character and desire, especially at 1-0 to the English," former Juve midfielder Di Livio told Calciomercato.com.

“The great victory yesterday is a good sign, and a good starting point to start moving up the League.

“After four consecutive Scudetti, the team still seems alive and they still want to win."
