Juventus chief Beppe Marotta has revealed they seriously considered signing Chelsea legend Didier Drogba in January. Drogba joined Galatasaray in the winter market and helped them reach the Champions League quarterfinals.
Marotta confirmed: "He's still a great player, but he had financial demands that were out of reach for us. There were difficulties in the negotiations.
"In Turkey, the tax is 10 per cent, we could not guarantee such a contract to the player."
