Juventus are attempting to close a deal with Sao Paulo for defender Rhodolfo next week.

Tuttosport says Rhodolfo is resisting all other offers to keep himself free to negotiate terms with Juve.

The Brazilian championship ends in December and Juve GM Beppe Marotta wants a deal struck before then.

Also considered as alternative are Arsenal di Sarandi defender Lisandro Lopez and Zenit St Petersburg's Bruno Alves.
